12:45: “FSMA – Preventive Controls for Human Foods” by Carl Moody, Regional Dairy Processing Specialist, Cornell Cooperative Extension
This seminar will discuss the Food Safety Modernization Act (FSMA), the largest change to FDA in 60 years. Specifically, the event will address how FSMA has changed the food industry, its focus on preventing contamination instead of merely responding to it, and its impact on food professionals, packaging manufacturers, brand owners, and consumers.
